Thanks to everyone who came out to our first house show in our new place in Deep Ellum. The night turned out awesome, and there will be plenty more. The next house show will be with Toby and Matt on February 2nd. Feel free to grab tickets to that one here. My brother in law Jonathan recorded the audio from the show and the recordings turned out really good! As promised I wanted to have something special to take away from the show and figured this would be a good souvenir. Below are the sets from each of the different artists. Joseph Veazie had some incredible covers from Underoath to Incubus, and Frank Ocean. I have always thought Joseph was really talented and was honored to have him play here on this set.

Tonight Kayla and I are going to a training class at Watermark Church. Then next week we will be small group leaders for engaged couples. This year it’s all about giving back and serving where we can and investing in other people’s lives. I am pretty excited and nervous at the same time cause lets be honest I haven’t been married that long. It was 2 years in October, but God has used this place to be such a blessing in our marriage that when had the opportunity to give back we couldn’t pass it up. I’m here a little early so I thought I’d take a moment and now I’m sitting here writing this waiting on my bride.

This is a copy of Katy Hudson’s music before the world knew her as Katy Perry. I just found it digging through some old CDs. Twitter is an awesome place. I came across a guy who was a record producer in Nashville and worked on Katy Perry’s music before she went pop. I haven’t listened to the cd in forever but I’m sure there’s some super rough interesting songs on here. From what I remember of the guy telling me is that she was going to be a Christian artist. Then LA got ahold of her or something… The rest in history.
