By now you have probably seen this video or heard of it. A daughter mouthed off on Facebook about her parents and the chores she had to do. She made herself look like a spoiled brat and disrespected her parents BIG time, so her dad took to the Internet and read off her post then unloaded a .45 caliber pistol on her laptop.

Shows her right? I bet the daughter is pissed but I can pretty much guarantee her dad got her attention.

The video explains it all but this cannot and hopefully will not pass. The bill seems to go after something such as piracy but then it also opens the door to so much other stuff. Stop SOPA

I have always been apprehensive about doing something like this… and for this VERY reason. I can’t believe how insane this is, if she was over concrete she’d be long gone. Wow. Lucky for her she survived and now I wonder if she even signed a waiver can she sue this company?

Yesterday Facebook announced some really big changes in the way Facebook is going to operate. The interface is changing and there is going to be a new timeline that is like the storybook of your life online. The aesthetic look is nice and appealing and the main thing Facebook wanted to accomplish was you will get a good “feel” for who the person is by looking at their timeline. The timeline will be heavily drawn on images and pictures and will highlight the important events in your life on a year by year basis.

It seems like Facebook is taking a blog approach to the site.

The other big thing they announced is open graph and how that will fit into how we communicate. Everything will be social and streamline. If you listen to a song on Spotify it will show up on the ticker in the top right corner and then I can click it and listen to the song. Take that thought with running, cooking, photos, everything will be easily shared and accessed between you and your friends/audience.

The biggest question I have is how does this affect privacy concerns people have?

Thoughts?

Also, the new Timeline feature is coming out soon BUT you can bypass the waiting and get it now if you have a developer account. It is really easy to set up and this site has done a pretty good job at explaining everything. It took me all of about 5 mins, and if I can do it you can too.

There are 8 basic steps

Step 1: Access Facebook Apps Developer page. If you are already using Facebook Developer Apps then its fine. Or else it would ask you for “Request for permission”. Click “Allow”.

Step 2: Now you are on the Default Page of Developer Facebook Apps. Click 0n “+ Create New App” button on the Top Right Side to create new application.

Step 3: Once you have done that, provide a “Display name” and “Namespace” for your newly created App. And in next step, confirm the security code.

Read step 4-8 here.

Remember when Netflix announced their price increase and that NOW you would have to pay for the DVD service along with the streaming service. People got pissed riots ensued and for a short while the world was in chaos. Netflix was always an alternative to cable for me, and it worked just fine. Well over the weekend the two main guys at Netflix got together to announce that the company was splitting and that the DVD side of the company would become Qwikster, while the Internet streaming side would still remain Netflix. Now the split makes even more sense, but honestly both are not needed, and I am even more inclined to cancel my Qwikster membership in leu of just streaming, because honestly why would you need both? Granted now that they are two separate companies Netflix will probably step up their game and provide more options for streamers and eventually Qwikster will be out of the game entirely.

What do you think?

Are you upset the two companies split?

Do you feel like they were kind of deceptive?

Will you keep both services if you had both?

Quite possibly the funniest thing I have seen all week. Hilarious. Imagine if this was really a legit car commercial? Would, it make you want to visit and would it be a new effective way of advertising. I am being some what serious with this. Although after watching the video a couple times I remember more of the Cuban speaking guy then that actually car commercial itself.

Seasons of Gray movie trailer from Chris Mano on Vimeo.
This movie is coming out in Dallas at one theater. I had a chance to talk to one of script writers and it is amazing all the work that goes into a film. He mentioned that the script itself took 8 years to write and produce and the film was made in a little over a year for 1/2 of 1 percent of what it takes to make a big hollywood budgeted movie. The trailer looks promising, the story line is a classic. I have high hopes for the film and I know it will be good.
