Hello friends!! So this tour has been going absolutely amazing and one of the best things we’ve ever been a part of. So pumped to be out with the Switchfoot guys, getting to work on some amazing things with Downtime, and also writing some new songs.

So, we wanted to let you know about something that has just come up and that we had to make a decision on. Stephen has to leave the tour early to tend to some urgent family issues at home, and so we were faced with a last minute decision to either drop off the tour early OR figure out a creative way to not cancel some of our favorite cities. So we have decided to do something we have never done before, and we hope you will have as much fun with this as we will.

Starting in Dallas at the House of Blues show, we will have our close friends Phil and Dan from Story of the Year both fill in on vocals for the few remaining shows on this tour. They were available at the last minute and have agreed to help us out. This is sure to be a memorable experience, and we are beyond stoked to have those guys out with us. This is all the more reason to come out and share in this unique show experience! We assure you it will be way too much fun, so come out and do this with us!!

Anberlin released a live cd/dvd exclusively on Itunes. The band is also set to go on tour this fall with Switchfoot. The video above is a cut from the DVD that is included with the purchase.

Details on Carrollhood.
If your a big fan of Anberlin you might have heard that Nathan Young was working on a side project called Carrollhood. The band hasn’t really said much about the project but it is a collaboration between Tim McTague (Underoath), Nathan Young (Anberlin) and Reed Murray (Marksmen). They did post a song you can download for free. Get “Remission.”

Free B-Side
Stephen Christian of Anberlin recently tweeted a link to get a b-side song off Never Take Friendship Personally, which was an older album released from Tooth and Nail. To get the song “New Fast Automatic” just click here for the link.

This was the officially press release from the band about the new live album “Live from House of Blues.”

On October 9th of 2010 Anberlin took their high-powered rock show to the House of Blues Anaheim and Live Nation was there to capture it all on camera. Anberlin ripped through a set spanning their career, from the Tooth & Nail albums to their major label albums with Universal Republic. Sure to never disappoint the long time fans who have remained loyal for years, Anberlin played classics like “Dismantle.Repair” and “Paper Thin Hymn”, and then brought the show to a close with the #1 Alternative Rock hit “Feel Good Drag”, and from their newest album “Impossible”. In today’s instantly downloadable and quickly consumed culture, bands like Anberlin are a dying breed. Over the course of eight years and five full-lengths (and multiple b-side releases), the band has established themselves as one of alternative rock’s most exciting acts and as a band who refuse to limit themselves to one scene or sound… and it’s paid off. If the band reinvented themselves with 2007’s sprawling album “Cities” – they’ve transcended that sound with “ Dark is the Way, Light is a Place”. In fact, this latest album that shows the band reconciling all of their seemingly disparate moods into cohesive blend of music that will lull you to sleep with gentle harmonies one minute and shake you to the core via raw, distortion-drenched rock riffage the next. Don’t miss their first live release now available on iTunes.
